When Jientje visited from Belgium she brought this sweet little angel to live with me.
Such a sweet little face.
Hope you all had a wonderful, extended weekend, enjoying these first few days of the new year. :0)
Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign MckLinky. Don’t forget to visit each other.

Love the little angel. He has a slightly old-fashioned look to him, very European! What a great gift!

you are doubly blessed. 1) to meet jientje in person and 2) to have this lovely little angel as a memento.

Promise not to laugh. When I saw the first photo, the first thing that jumped into my head was Howdy Doody. Go figure. I suppose I thought I saw freckles. Of course the angel isn’t Howdy Doody — much nicer and as always your close in photos are great.

Beautifully carved angel!

Very cool angel! Love the angles on it and how the white background makes it look like a cutout in that first shot.

Very nice close ups! Makes me wish I had a real camera that could have different lens.

What an angelic shot! (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
I like the details that came out in this macro. The “creation” dust that clings to the painted and fired angel is something likely overlooked by the naked eye, but seems somehow symbolic under the scrutiny of the camera.

I am so excited about my first photography event and it’s macro which is my favorite. I hope you don’t mind but most of my photos are of food in one shape or another.
