Macro Monday Sand Dollar
This tiny sand dollar survived a trip from Maine last year and has managed to survive being tossed from place to place awaiting its moment to shine. I’m really bad about actually taking photos of objects that are in my possession. My son has learned not to eat a heart shaped doughnut (or walmart cupcake) that has been sitting around for a while – it may take me a year to finally get to it. lol
So this little sand dollar has been very tolerant of my procrastination. Now that I’ve recorded it it will probably crumble. It’s less than the size of a quarter – very small!
I’m amazed that the dust from its journeys shows up!

Alligator Macro Monday
This big fellow was sunning very near the road, so I carefully stepped from the car and snapped.
I inched my zoomy lens closer, but I stepped a little closer too. I quickly decided that I was going to have to keep it fresh in my mind that these are massively huge creatures capable of biting off my arm – or more – and there was no fence between me and them. A little scary because I easily forget my distance when looking through my lens. Check out his teeth! And I think that eye is following me!
So, this is my alligator macro. I still have all my fingers and toes and this really is close enough, don’t you think?

Pinchy Macro Monday
I like crabs as long as I know where they are, not so sure of them when I stumble upon them though.
This one didn’t bother me at all, but this isn’t exactly how I found it though.
Yep, this is how I found it. Haden turned it over for me. lol

Macro Monday Whatnots
Just a few odds and ends found on a beach near Jacksonville. The morning lighting seemed to be perfect to bring out the colors. Ahhhh.
I found these in a couple of spots but have no clue what made the little sand balls.
I think the sand in the shell looks like snow, but it wasn’t, lol.

Crabby Macro Monday
This little fellow is just adorable!
He thinks he’s so tough!
I think he needs to shave his legs, lol.
So maybe these are more technically close-ups, but that’s ok, right? Did you see the size of that sand?! Yeah, he’s little!
I found his little eyes amazing!!

Pretty Penny Macro Monday
Have you seen the new pennies? I think they’re pretty cool!
Oops, sorry, I thought I already had this one in the cue, then got home to find I didn’t. We’re back from vacation and I missed you all! I’ll be working on getting around to visit with everyone and I can’t wait to tell you all about our trip!

Shaking up Macro Monday
Can you tell what this is?
We found this cute salt and pepper shaker set a few years ago and I realized I had never shared. We don’t use them, but I think they’re so cute.
No wonder we bought them, huh? But we’re not in Wisconsin right now, we’re traveling through the warmer weather of Florida – ah, sunshine, at least I hope the sun is shining. My husband is taking me swimming with the manatees for my birthday. :0) I’m a wee bit excited! Since we’re traveling this post was prepared before we left, I sure hope it publishes without a hitch.
