While sifting for shark’s teeth we came upon several small crabs. I thought this one was pretty tiny, until I saw. . .

Now he’s tiny! These were taken with my little waterproof point and shoot.

Can you tell he’s no bigger than a penny? It’s so funny to see something that small get all defensive, lol.

I have to confess, I did not count all these tiny ants – That thing they are eating on is an average black ant to give you some idea of how small these guys are. Amazingly tiny.

I’m pretty sure there’s at least 100 there.  PS, I did count the ant eggs in the badge below, but I lost count so I’m not sure if there’s 98 or 103, lol.

My husband was kind enough to bring me a package of mini-m&ms (actually it was for the grandkids, but don’t tell them I played with them first, k?) and I counted out 100, exactly. But you can’t really tell here, so. . .

I am really trying to soak up all the joy in flowers before the snow starts to fly again, and trust me it will seem way too soon for that blanket of white.

With all the rain we’ve had this summer, if it were colder we would be buried, lol.

Next week, Monday August 23, will be the 100th Macro Monday post and I thought it might be fun to see if we could get 100 objects in the post. Granted they would have to be small objects to still be close but I’ll be giving it a shot and thought you might want to too. If you prefer not to, that’s ok. :0)

Update:  There’s been some question about the 100 thing, I wasn’t thinking 100 images, I was thinking 100 objects in one photo.  Make sense?  100 photos might be a wee bit overwhelming, lol.

My son has a knack for finding little creatures. Not sure of the technical name of this one, we always just call them leaf hoppers.

Sometimes when looking at flowers through the macro lens I find neat little surprises.

Then my focus changes from the inanimate to the moving thing before me. Like this fly sipping from the raindrop.

Or this spider looking for a spot to sun itself.
