Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don’t forget to visit each other.
I held a lobster – aren’t you proud? In this photo, my son is holding the lobster though so I could get a shot or two. I didn’t take the macro with me, so once again this is me trying to get a decent “macro” with a 400mm.
On a moving boat. While standing. And Haden was standing. Yes there were waves. And wind. And wobbly legs. And an unhappy lobster. So yeah, as I said, this was an attempt.
The starfish wasn’t much friendlier.

Rock Lobster!

I love that drip on the starfish! It can’t be easy to be a lobster. They are, let’s face it, ugly. But they taste good. And they must by now know what is coming when they feel that grip. These are great. Nothing like a photographic challenge on a boat in the wind with youngsters!
Martha said,
Awesome starfish shot! The lobster – just throw him in a pot and I’ll be a happy camper
Becky said,
That Lobster surely doesn’t look very happy. Cool colors though.
The Starfish did pose nicely .

The starfish is my favorite photo. I agree that the drip adds to the starfish’s debut. Hope all is well.
Tracey said,
I love the starfish too! Hey, quick question…what should we pack for Maine? It looks like you all are bundled up here!
Carletta said,
I couldn’t hold a lobster like that at all!
They do look rather alien-like. It’s pretty cool that you caught that drop of water sliding off the starfish.
Great shots!

I love the vibrancy of your colors Lisa. Get close and personal. Would you believe I’ve never tasted lobster? Macro Monday is the neatest thing since they invented sliced bread. I look forward to Monday.

Yikes, the lobster looks disgusting, even cooked when it’s red ! but your photo is a beauty ! Love the starfish, I had one when I was a child.

I love the starfish, reminded me of one of Nemo’s friends …

No way could I hold a lobster! So I really admire anyone who can! Fantastic macros!

You are something. I always get the feeling that you have a love-hate thing going with these crawlers. Was he dinner later? I hate to kill them but they taste SO GOOD! Nice photos, too! And the starfish went back to the briny deep, yes?
Monica said,
There is NO way you would have gotten me to hold the lobster. However, I love the photos you got.
Gallicissa said,
The results look good even though didn’t shoot them from a macro lens.
The lobster looks the coolest to me.

Great Pictures! And so colorful.

Very cool Lisa, love the starfish, I have a shot of one but there is no detail because it is laying flat in dark water. Your lobstaer and starfish have great colors and details!
Thomas said,
The Lobster images are a mouth watering macro compositions, I mean it Lisa.
Rachael said,
Really impressive with a 400mm lens. I am a big believer in the little details (like the water drop) make the picture.
Jeanna said,
I’ll hold a lobster all right, with my teeth and a side of melted butter.
Have you got candy for me, little girl?
Also sent you an email about the best link to buy your photos, will use the space you list here unless you want another. Do you know of any places in WI that help out local artists to display and sell their artwork?
