Macro Monday Moths

IMG_9379

I was happy enough finding this little fellow on the side of our house, then I looked about and noticed. . .

IMG_9381

He was sitting inside a light and I really like the background lines.

Such neat moths! I just remembered – I took a photo of a yellow woolly caterpillar yesterday. Now what did I do with that photo? LOL

Well, my snap isn’t exactly a moth, but quite moth-eaten, nevertheless. Love the colors of yours!

Does this moth have a name, I wonder. The first shot is so beautiful in colour formation.

Don’t you love it that they hang out on the house? But why is your house so clean?? My moth photos have spider webs, spider droppings, chipped paint . . . yet yours are pristine. Beautiful work!

I really like the last two shots for the lines as well and for me I have a sense of movement like he’s in a tube that’s moving even though I know the light is stationary. Like a log roller. Anyways….great shots!
Love that you got the antenna so well.

Moths are kinda understated don’t you think Lisa. That first shot is great and makes that moth look ever so pretty. As for your sooc below – now thats so good and I totally agree with you on being braver behind the lens.

Hi Lisa,
I usually only see blah colored moths, like white, tan, or spotted neutrals. These are such interesting colors! Interesting that I chose a butterfly for macro mon. I agree with the commenter above me that moths “are kinda understated”. I, too, like that first shot.

Hiya Lisa,
The moth is fine by me, but the Cabbage Whites are not in my good books:-)
Their larvae yet again stripped three of my roses, all the double stock plants and two complete berberis shrubs, completely complete. Where’s my shotgun.
My post is still sad, as I am still sad.
Maybe visiting others today will lift my spirits.
