Sometimes when looking at flowers through the macro lens I find neat little surprises.
Then my focus changes from the inanimate to the moving thing before me. Like this fly sipping from the raindrop.
Or this spider looking for a spot to sun itself.
Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign MckLinky.
MM started on Sept 29, 2008 – Thanx to all of you for helping make it such a fun start to the week!

Love it Lisa! When I was shooting my black eyed susan photo’s I came across a very strange bug – had a probiscus like a butterfly but was a long orange and white tube bug – I got a shot – but not as clear as yours are!
Thanks for hosting Macro Monday – I love being able to visit the other blogs of folks interested in the same kinds of photography!

Fantastic capture of insects, particularly of the fly, but of the others, too!
Astounding!

I like spiders more than flies
so your spider is my favourite and I like his long legs and how you captured him
Happy MM!

Your fly shots are great! The upside-down spider’s pretty cool too, though.

Oh, I always find the insects more interesting than the flowers! Although that is a gorgeous purple …
Nice capture, especially the long-legged beastie. What a pretty green he is, and so elegant!

I too often find a bug on the flower that I didn’t even notice when taking the picture. A nice surprise usually.

Great shots Lisa. I’ve been surprised a few times when I got my slides back and found tiny little critters that I didn’t see when I was shooting. When you are lost in your viewfinder, it’s a good sign.

These are fabulous, Lisa. I’m glad you’re not creeped out by insects.

I suspect that little fly was on the beautiful flowers in your previous post.
Love this little green guy – such long legs and it was perfect that he chose a purple flower to provide such lovely contrast!

Yeah right! I happened to me once when I was taking a photo of little flowers and on it was a bee. When I took it and transferred it to the computer hey…there were 2 bees!

Great shots! Beautiful flower with the fly. I dislike flies, but this one looks great through your camera lens—as does the spider, which I dislike, as well.

hi Lisa,
I love Insects and other Invertrebates like Spiders. Intriguing they are, I think. Lovely pictures.

Wow– amazing creepy crawlies but I love the purples too.

Nice macro view. Did you use flash? If yes, did it scare the insects? ;p

Such absolutely lovely saturation in the colors! I have some spiders just like the one you’ve photographed in my garden right now, and my pictures aren’t as stunning as yours. And I’m kind of mad at the flies right now. They were biting fiends during our bike ride on Sunday night!
