Porcupine Macro Monday

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky.

Have I introduced you to my charming friend?

t1445

Mr Snizzles says that he looks scarier than he actually is.

t1447

Would you like a quill? You can use one with a bottle of ink to write fancy letters. Go ahead, take your pick.

I was very surprised by the porcupine and how soft it looked. We have two at our local zoo that are very spiny looking.

Wow! He does look like a dangerous fellow. I have never seen one’s face up close. Not too shabby for a prickly thing!

Count me in! I have a fuzzy, oozy creature this week!

Up close they look like spears!

The last photo also reminds me of a fish, but I can’t think of what it’s called.

I think Mr. Snizzles and I must have something in common, we both only get prickly when we’re upset!

So cool! But how do you “pick a quill”? Does Mr. Snizzle share? Or does he shed and then you can pick a quill?

Hi Lisa, I left a prickly rose close up. Loved your porky pine, they are a terrible creature…but better than a skunk! :)

Great photos. We didn’t get that close to the one we had hanging around here last winter, and we don’t have a great camera, just a point and shoot to try and get the photos.
