Pretty Pink Petals (Macro Monday)

IMG_5737

I love tulips, I wish their blooms lasted longer, but still, I love them! I had to catch them right as they were opening.

IMG_5735

And I had to examine all parts.

IMG_5741

Their petals are like feathers.

IMG_5743

Their leaves like little canoes.

IMG_5739

Their centers like little parasols and windchimes.

Macro Monday is easy to play, snap a macro (or any close-up) photo, post it on your blog and come back here and sign Mr Linky. Don’t forget to visit each other. :)

So lovely! Tulips don’t grow here due to our hot weather, unless inside a greenhouse, but I can still find them in the florists. They are imported from Holland.

You KNOW I’m a fan of tulips. I love these pink ones. I like the one showing the bottom of the flower, for some reason. Such a lovely shade of pink.

Your tulips are a really lovely colour – unusaual – you mostly see red/ yellow/ white – the softer shades not that often. Love the detailed macro images … seems we were doing he ‘same” thing .. mine were irises…. ;-)
have a great day!

These are lovely photos and I’m with you – I love tulips. Perhaps it’s precisely because their beauty is so transient that we love them. :)

You and my daughter. :) She loves tulips too, I just wish they lasted longer. Their blooms seem so short. Although you’ve certainly captured the essence of them and their softness in your shots.
